The only way to separate tie rod ends on your steering rack form the steering arms without buggering the boots or the ends themselves. Simply slide the fork under the joint and tighten the drive bolt with a wrench or socket. The joint will pop apart. Much more satisfactory than beating them apart with a “pickle fork”.
