’60 MGA Roadster

This car came in as a well-driven project, with a history of crash repair and afiberglass front wing. She looked good from a distance, but closer inspection exposed  several areas of concern. The doors did not fit at all well and the body gaps were all over the place.

The original plan was to do the minimum to fit a new original steel wing, correct the door fit and repaint it.

The more we poked around, the more problems we found. The previous repair work had been done quickly and poorly, causing the mismatched panel fit and rot was creeping out of the crevices. Its was decided to strip the car down and repair things properly.

This was not to be a complete frame-off restoration, as the car was a good runner otherwise. Lets call it a very deep cosmetic restoration.
