'59 VW Karmann Ghia

This one was outside of my normal orbit, but I am quite please with it nonetheless.  Purchased new by Mrs. McGinnis' father, nothing other a full restoration of this car would do.  This car has possibly gone as far as any VW, and still been able to be brought back.

After stripping the car and having the sheet metal electrically de-rusted by Redi-Strip up in BC, we tackled the severe rot that had taken over the car.  All the joints and seams were leaded in as per the factory methods. After all the sheet metal had been repaired, its was all brought back up to Redi-strip for zinc phosphating.  In theory, it will never rust again.

With new leather and wool interior and full mechanical restoration, she looks and runs better than when she left Stuttgart.

Please don't ask me to do another one...
