Bringing this outer folded section into place gives us a better idea of what is going on. This folded and bound edge inboard of the drip rail is a double-thick piece that stretches back al the way to the back of the door glass. It is very, very strong.
The round, bound tab will get a Durable Dot snap that holds the top to the windshield post over the wing window.
