A crash in earlier life had left a giant oil can in the bonnet sides. It eventually took over 60 small heat shrinks to take the stretch out and to let the panel lid flat again. The bonnet was cobbled together from at least three different cars. Careful fitting of the grille shell allowed us to get all four panels square and plumb to the center line, though it ended up a wee bit shorter than it started out.
