Almost Finished

The door has been sealed and primed, now the small fillet piece is added.  Originally, this was cast from aluminum, since wood that thin would have not survived very long at all.  I was lucky enough to locate a fellow who was kind enough to lend me the ones off of his car.  I made a pair of silicone molds, then cast the new ones out of urethane resin, which is completely weather-proof.  Even the sand texture and part numbers of the originals were duplicated.  Once painted, they will be virtually indistinguishable from the real ones. Except they will not corrode or break.
